Hidden chats are not shown in the chat list. Resetting a forgotten PIN deletes all hidden chats and their media. Hidden chats are not available on tablets or desktop. ### Open hidden chats with Face ID or Touch ID Go to **More -> Settings -> Privacy -> Hidden chats**. Turn on Face/Touch ID access so you can open hidden chats with Face ID or Touch ID instead of the PIN. ### Disappearing messages Messages disappear after a timer that starts when each person opens them. On iPhone, both people are notified if a screenshot is taken. Notifications from these chats show only "Message" instead of the text. ### Turn off Save to gallery In the Media section of Viber's settings, turn off Save to gallery so photos you receive are not saved to your iPhone's Photos automatically. You can still save photos one at a time. ### Notification previews Go to **More -> Settings -> Notifications -> Show message preview**. Turn off Show message preview to hide message text in Viber notifications. ## Keep Viber photos out of your camera roll Photos you save from Viber land in the Photos app, outside any app lock. Touch and hold Viber, tap Require Face ID and confirm. It then needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode to open. Viber has no separate lock of its own. ### Can you hide Viber on iPhone? Yes. On iOS 18 or later, touch and hold Viber, tap Require Face ID, then Hide and Require Face ID. It moves to the locked Hidden folder at the bottom of App Library and leaves search results. ### Does Viber have its own passcode? No. Viber relies on iOS for locking.
