Your name, profile photo, username, and bio stay public. Going private also turns off fediverse sharing. ### Hide like and share counts Threads has its own setting to hide the like and share counts of a post, separate from Instagram's. ### Hidden Words Go to **Profile -> Menu -> Content preferences -> Hidden Words**. Filter out words, phrases, hashtag topics, or emojis so posts that use them are hidden from your feeds and search results. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can you lock Threads on iPhone? Yes. Touch and hold Threads, tap Require Face ID and confirm. It then needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode to open. Threads has no separate lock of its own. ### Can you hide Threads on iPhone? Yes.
