Make folders, drag bookmarks between them, right-click a folder to sort by name, and use the search box to find anything. - **Manager:** `chrome://bookmarks` or Ctrl+Shift+O - **Folders:** Right-click -> Add new folder, then drag bookmarks in - **Sort:** Right-click a folder -> Sort by name ## Organize bookmarks in Chrome on a Chromebook 1. **Open the manager** Go to `chrome://bookmarks`, or press Ctrl+Shift+O. 2. **Make folders** Right-click in the folder list (left) -> Add new folder. Nest folders by making one inside another. 3. **Move bookmarks** Drag bookmarks into folders; select several with Ctrl/⌘ or Shift first to move them together. 4. **Sort and search** Right-click a folder -> Sort by name. The search box at the top finds bookmarks by name or address across every folder. Menu labels change between versions of Chromebook; the shortcut and the internal address `chrome://bookmarks` don't. ## A folder plan that holds up One folder per project or area, no deeper than two levels, and the Bookmarks bar folder kept to the ten or so pages you open daily. Put everything else under Other bookmarks; search finds it faster than browsing ever will. ## Duplicates Chromebook has no built-in duplicate finder. Sort a folder by name and duplicates sit next to each other; delete the extras. Importing the same HTML file twice is the usual cause. ## Keep some bookmarks out of Chrome on a Chromebook altogether No folder is private: the manager shows every one of them to whoever opens it.
