# Edit bookmarks: 8 browser guides

## Quick answer

Right-click any bookmark and choose Edit to change its name, address or folder, or click the star in the address bar while you are on a saved page. The bookmark manager edits several at once and moves them between folders by drag and drop.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do the steps differ between Windows and Mac?

Only the modifier key: Ctrl on Windows, Linux and ChromeOS becomes ⌘ on a Mac. Menu paths and internal URLs are the same.

### Why do Edge pages say favorites?

Microsoft Edge calls bookmarks favorites and the bar the favorites bar. Everything else, down to the Bookmarks file in the profile folder, works the same way as in Chrome.
