With sync on, the deletion reaches your other devices too. - **One bookmark:** right-click a favorite -> Delete - **Everything:** Ctrl+A (⌘+A) in `edge://favorites`, then Delete - **Undo:** Bookmarks.bak in the profile folder, or an HTML export ## Delete favorites in Microsoft Edge 1. **Open the manager** Open `edge://favorites` or press Ctrl+Shift+O (opens the Favorites panel). 2. **Select what goes** Click one favorite, Ctrl/⌘-click to add more, Shift-click for a range, or Ctrl+A (⌘+A) for everything in the folder. 3. **Delete** Press Delete, or right-click -> Delete. 4. **Check your other devices** If your Microsoft account syncs favorites, the deletion is copied there within minutes. Menu labels change between versions of Edge; the shortcut and the internal address `edge://favorites` don't. ## Delete a whole folder Right-click the folder in the manager or on the favorites bar and choose Delete. Everything inside goes with it. ## Deleted the wrong one There is no bin. Close Edge, go to the profile folder (`%LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Bookmarks` on Windows) and look for Bookmarks.bak: it is the Bookmarks file as it was when Edge last started. Rename it to Bookmarks to go back, or import your last HTML export. ## Keep some bookmarks out of Microsoft Edge altogether Deleting is how most people keep a favorite from being seen, which also means losing it. In `edge://favorites`, click into the list, press Ctrl+A (⌘+A on a Mac) and then Delete. Do it in each folder, or select the folders themselves. ### Does deleting a favorite remove it from my other devices? Yes, if favorites sync through your Microsoft account. Turn sync off first if you want to keep them elsewhere. ### Can I recover a deleted favorite?
