They can still see your profile and posts, and the change applies to stories you post after that. ### Share a story with Close Friends only Make a Close Friends list, then share a story only with the people on it. ### Make your account private Turn on Private account. After that, people have to send a follow request before they can see your posts, followers, or following list. Business accounts can't be private. ### Clear your search history Delete your recent searches in Instagram. Clearing is temporary, so a search can show up again if you search for it again. ### Archive a post Go to **Your profile -> tap the post -> options icon (top right) -> Archive**. Hides the post from your profile and from everyone else, and keeps its likes and comments. Choose Show on Profile to bring it back. ### Turn off the story archive Go to **Settings -> Archiving and downloading (under Your app and media) -> Save story to archive**. Your stories are saved to a private Stories Archive by default. Turn this off if you don't want Instagram to keep them. ### Notification previews Instagram's Notifications settings let you mute push notifications or choose which activity sends alerts. You can also turn off post notifications for one account from that person's profile. ### Daily time limit Set a daily limit on your time spent on Instagram. It works on the phone app only, not on a computer. ### Supervision for Teen Accounts A parent or guardian who supervises a teen's account can set a daily time limit. When it's reached, Instagram either sends a reminder or blocks access. ## Keep Instagram photos out of your camera roll Photos you save from Instagram land in the Photos app, outside any app lock. Touch and hold Instagram, tap Require Face ID and confirm. It then needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode to open. Instagram has no separate lock of its own. ### Can you hide Instagram on iPhone?
