# VaultForYou -- private photo vault for iPhone

## How it works

- **Your pattern is your key.** Draw it and your vault opens. A different pattern opens a different vault.
- **Nothing to find.** The lock screen shows no vault names, counts or previews. Without your pattern, there's no sign a vault exists.
- **A decoy for pressure moments.** Set a duress pattern that opens an ordinary-looking vault. You decide whether it also wipes your real ones.
- **Share without a trace.** Send an encrypted vault to someone you trust. They don't need an account, and no identity or metadata travels with it. End-to-end encrypted; revoke the link anytime.

## What we do with your files, and what we can't

- **Storage:** Files are encrypted on your iPhone. Keys stay in the iOS Keychain and never reach us.
- **Backup:** Optional. When on, each file is encrypted before it goes to your iCloud. The app shows your last successful backup.
- **Recovery:** We never see your pattern, so we can't reset it. If you forget it, that vault can't be opened.
- **Leaving:** Export every original at any time, for free. Delete a vault and it's removed from your iPhone and backup.

Premium adds encrypted iCloud backup, more vaults with their own patterns, and unlimited files. Subscriptions are charged to your Apple ID and renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.

## FAQ

### Can VaultForYou see my photos?

No. Files are encrypted on your iPhone with keys that stay there. We don't have a copy of your pattern or your keys.

### What if I forget my pattern?

That vault can't be opened, by you or by us. Export anything you can't afford to lose and keep a copy somewhere safe.

### What happens if I lose my iPhone?

With backup on, install the app on a new iPhone, sign in to iCloud and draw your pattern. With backup off, the files can't be restored.

### How is this different from the Hidden album in Photos?

The Hidden album keeps photos inside the Photos app and your iCloud Photos library. VaultForYou keeps files in a separate encrypted vault outside Photos that opens only with your pattern, with optional decoy vaults.

### Is there a free trial?

No. You can use the app with basic features for free and upgrade when you need backup or more vaults.

### How do I cancel?

In iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Your files stay available and exportable after you cancel.
